“Solve for X: A Sermon About God”

by Rev. Justin McCreary

God is a tricky subject, but then so is math. For many people, God represents a variable required for a balanced equation. For thousands of years, humans have looked to the skies working to balance this equation, and it seems that no matter how smart, wise, or open we are, the equation remains out of balance. This Sunday I would like to explore this equation through art and theory, neither of which I practice or understand satisfactorily. However, since the equations remain out of balance, I can’t be worse than anyone else.

Special music by Julia Harris on the hammered dulcimer!
