The goal of the Garden Team is to maintain and enhance the natural setting of Hope Unitarian Church by creating an inviting landscape for humans and wildlife which offers sanctuary and nourishment for a diversity of living creatures.

The Garden Team includes experienced and novice gardeners with varying amounts of time to devote, and persons wanting to learn will find a cheerful mentor.  The camaraderie of the Team and the natural setting of Hope Hill provide a wonderful opportunity for joyful participation with other Hope members and friends. The Team typically takes the field on Saturday mornings, and individual tasks to suit personal schedules and interests are always available.

With an emphasis on sustainable and Earth-friendly horticultural techniques and the use of native plants, there is always a choice of light or heavy work. Intention is given to practices which reflect the values of the spiritual community.
