Good news! There’s still time to sign up!
The Black Writers Reading Group has been postponed and will now start on August 20 instead of July 30.
Led by our interim minister, Rev. Greg, this Adult Religious Education book group will read and discuss the works of African American authors, with an emphasis on race matters. Our first work, Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America, by Georgetown University’s Michael Eric Dyson, is to be read prior to the first class. Learners may suggest titles for our consideration. We’ll meet monthly beginning Thursday, August 20, at 7:00 p.m. Sign up by contacting the church office, and you’ll receive a course syllabus in July. This class will be ongoing.
