Hope Unitarian Church is uniquely situated atop Tulsa’s highest point, offering breathtaking panoramic views and a natural sanctuary that invites reflection and peace. Our sprawling acreage features walking trails that wind through lush greenery, a tranquil cabin nestled in the woods, and open spaces designed for quiet contemplation. These serene surroundings provide a refuge for all who seek a deeper connection with nature.

We are proud to be recognized as a Certified Green Sanctuary by the Unitarian Universalist Association, a testament to our commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. Our grounds are also designated as a Certified Wildlife Habitat, providing a safe haven for birds, pollinators, and other wildlife.

The Garden Team at Hope Unitarian Church is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of our sacred grounds. Our mission is to create a welcoming landscape that serves as a sanctuary for both people and wildlife, offering nourishment and refuge for a diverse array of living creatures.

Our team includes experienced and novice gardeners alike, with members who bring varying levels of time and expertise. Those new to gardening will find friendly mentors eager to share their knowledge. Beyond the work, the Garden Team provides a sense of community, where members enjoy camaraderie, fresh air, and the serenity of Hope Hill’s natural setting.

We are proud to maintain sustainable, Earth-friendly horticultural practices, with a focus on native plants. Volunteers can choose tasks that match their interests and abilities, from light weeding to more hands-on projects.

In addition to our gardens, we maintain walking trails and peaceful areas designed for reflection, providing a place for visitors to connect with nature. Whether you want to volunteer for garden maintenance, help with watering, or simply find a quiet spot to unwind, the Garden Team offers a meaningful way to engage with nature and community at Hope Unitarian Church.
